Hi smithy, I'll join you. I started last Monday and lost 5 pounds in the first week but I'm not convinced the scales at my group are that accurate. I want to lose 20 pounds in total so just over a stone to go.

Today I had 2 alpen light bars for brekkie, apple mid morning, baked potato with beans and salad with muller light yoghurt for lunch, nectarine on way home, SW lasagne with broccoli and cauliflower for dinner, a few grapes and slice of chicken post-run and a Ripple bar. I keep my syns for the Ripple bar!

Your day sounds really good:) pleased I've got a friend now! So I had for my lunch backed potato beans and cottage cheese, dinner was merchant gourmet lentils (with mushroom) whole pack only 1 syn, feta cheese (dairy option) tomatoes and plain cod. Then light yoghurt, alpen light and berries mixed together (quite nice chopped the alpen up). My treat 2 big squares chocolate 6 syns. I'm going to try sw lasagne next:) shall we meet again tomorrow?:)

Evening smithy. I must give the lentils a try but not keen on mushroom flavoured things so hope there are other flavours. The SW lasagne is ok but not fantastic. You replace the white sauce with natural yogurt and egg. It does the job of filling you up and that's about it. I am going to make the SW cottage pie tomorrow night so will let you know how it goes.

Today was ok for me but have a bit of toothache and any time I'm ill, I feel the need to turn to something sweet. Probably explains the toothache.

Anyway, breakfast was two Alpen light bars. Lunch was cous cous, coooked with lemon juice, parsley, mint and veg stock with some sliced chicken, red pepper and tomato. It was rather nice and had a muller light after.
Had an apple in the afternoon then visit to dentist and after long drive home, munched on more chicken and had a kiwi fruit as very hungry.
Dinner was baked salmon, sweet potato wedges with green beans. Just been for a run and planning to settle down with a cuppa and my Ripple bar! I think I may have eaten too much today when I see it written down...but I really want that Ripple bar! Until tomorrow!

Porridge and berries for breakfast, baked potato with beans and tuna for lunch followed by muller light yoghurt. Missed out my salad today so not good! Banana mid afternoon plus sliced chicken. Dinner was more chicken with cous cous and green beans. I'm debating whether or not to eat the Ripple bar!

Porridge with berries, alpen light bar and apple, baked potato with chicken and beans, nectarine and kiwi, mixed salad with chicken (was fried as was out so not good but was only a few pieces) and the Ripple Bar. Think I have definitely went over my syns today for the first time. No Ripple bar tomorrow.

Hi! I'll join too! Weigh in is Tuesday and I've been 100% so far. I have a lot of weight to lose, around 6 stone. Been at SW for about 9 weeks and only lost 7.5lbs. Determined to stick at it and stick to the plan this week!

Breakfast today was my hexb 35g porridge made with water and a splash of milk from my hexa, 1 tsp honey (1 syn) and a banana.

Have a good day everyone! Will check in later!

my lunch was 2 eggs in ham baskets, an apple and a yogurt.
Dinner was a piece of hake and lots of salad.

I had a small slice of cake (my nieces christening cake that mil made!) it was so nice, and allocating all my syns to it. Hoping it will cover it!

Hi onlypink, your day sounds good. Here's mine:

Breakfast: tomatoes, mushrooms, 2 poached eggs and 60g wholemeal bread
Lunch: baked potato, quarter can of beans, chicken and salad
Snack: grapes and yoghurt
Dinner: prawn provencale (prawns, tomato, onion, pepper) with brown rice
Syns: 1 ripple bar

Tomorrow is my weigh in day. I've stuck to the plan and not cheated once but not confident I will have lost 2 pounds.

How did weigh in go iggity?

My weigh in tonight. I have been 100% on plan, to the letter, so hoping for a decent loss. I will be crushed if I don't see more than a pound off tho!

Hi, weigh in was disappointing. Didn't lose anything...was pretty upset. So will give it another go. Going to stay off the muller lights this week and maybe less sweet fruit e.g. grapes and see if it helps. The annoying thing is that I didn't cheat, not once.

Today was two alpen light bars for brekkie, chicken, baked potato and salad for lunch. Banana, apple and kiwi fruit for snacks and salmon, cous cous and veg for dinner. Still pondering whether I should go to gym and/or buy a Ripple bar!

Oh no, that's so disheartening. I had a gain last week even though i felt i was on plan. I gave it 100% and i was down 5lbs on Tues. I've never lost that much in one week, in nearly 7 years of dieting! So think it was 2 good weeks showing together. Keep at it, my consultant says a good week is never wasted, it will show somewhere.

I don't eat muller lights, i think they definitely stall me. 100 calories for a yogurt is madness (i know, shouldn't think of calories, but its hard to ignore) i have activia fat free which are free on Sw too, but are only 60 calories. The pot is 20g smaller, but it works better for me!

5lbs is great. I lost that in my first week, then nothing last week so hoping for 2 this week. Muller lights are all gone now. I will give the activias a try. Has been a hard day. For first time, I cheated and had teaspoon of peanut butter! But it was organic, surely that helps ;)

I'm on my fourth week of slimming world this week and have lost 10.5lb (wk1 4 wk2 4 week3 2.5)

I'm having a bad week this week, I've just got so bored with it. I think I lost less last week because I started eating muller yoghurts!

Typically in a day I have

B - oat pancakes (35g oats HexB) with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries

L - omelette with cheese (35g HexA)

D - spag bol or stir fry

Snacks - grapes and other fruit

Alternated with

B - all bran (35g HexB) with skimmed milk (HexA) and a banana

L - chicken tikka (grilled) with loads of salad and mint yogurt (2 syns)

D - cooked dinner or baked potato

My syns go on hot chocolate, gravy or mayo etc. I always have a Mars bar on a Tuesday though.

This week isn't going well - I've eaten 2 alpen bars already today. I've had mullers, smash etc. free foods but processed and I've learnt that I don't lose weight when I eat processed stuff.

I've been trying some recipes from a fb slimming world group. Yuk, don't know why I keep thinking that syn free cake will be nice (eggy) or 'chocolate' made from frozen muller and options powder.

I do love the oat pancakes though, 35g of oats soaked in (yet another!) muller overnight, mix in an egg and cook like a pancake.

I want to lose 4 stone so a long way to go!

I'm with you! I've been there for 4 weeks and lost 10lbs so far, aiming for 2lbs this week, 2lbs next week and then I'll have my stone award Grin

Haven't had breakfast yet but will have:

Porridge with semi skimmed milk and frozen berries

Homemade syn free pizzas (which are amaaaazing!) for lunch

Probably roast chicken with salad and a baked potato for tea!

And planning on lots of fruit for snacking today Smile

Oh, and for syns, there's a bottle of wine in the fridge that has been calling my name all week. Enough for one glass left and it's MINE Grin

Does anyone have any recipes for a mild curry sauce? I would normally use shop bought jars but have a feeling they're not very good for you. Bit fed up of tomato sauce pasta with meat (I made loads up and it's syn free so when I'm feeling lazy it's my go-to meal)

Great to have more people. Thanks for posting your menus and weight losses. I'm going to try some of these as feel I am stuck in a baked potato rut! Inspiration, going to give your oat pancakes a go. Do you think they would work with natural yoghurt?

Brekkie: 2 alpen light bars
Lunch: baked potato with cottage cheese and salad
Snack: banana
Dinner: chicken, broccoli, cauliflower and pasta with red pesto sauce
Others: 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of chicken, low fat natural yoghurt with berries, 1 ripple bar

I feel like I eat a lot compared to the rest of you looking at my list. I did run this evening and burned off 467 calories so that will have knocked off all the food under others I hope.

Weigh in is Monday...looking for 2lbs. Good luck everyone over the weekend.

Jumblebee...I am a pizza addict. What's the recipe for syn free pizza?

Report
InspirationFailed · 12/04/2014 07:33

You can do the pancakes with natural yoghurt but I think those that do use 3 tablespoons of sweetener with the mix - I like the strawberry muller yoghurt with mine as it sweetens them without the nasty sweetener after taste. Most people use 2/3 eggs to but I can't stand the eggy taste either. Sometimes I put natural yoghurt on top of then though, that's nice.

I don't know what I'm going to have to eat today yet, I need to go shopping as I've run out of fruit, veg, meat... Everything except pasta! I hate dragging four DC round the supermarket though!

I tried making a scanbran cake the other day, it was disgusting! I know I'm meant to be eating it but I can't find a way to make it edible.

Iggity me too, I LOVE pizza!

I used a whole meal pita bread from Asda (as far as I'm aware there are only 2 types you can use for healthy extra B), tomato purée, loads of veg fried in fry light and a little cheese (HEA).

For some reason I'm sure the woman at my group who told me the recipe said there was a gluten free wrap you can buy from asda that was a HEB. However I couldn't find them or the name so used a normal wrap which I just syned! Very yummy with syn free chips and salad Grin
