Hi, can I join?

I've been back at SW for 4 weeks and have lost 9.5lbs in that time. It would be nice to have some SW friends here too Xmas Smile.

I'll just mark my place here. Thanks for starting the new thread Steffanoid.

Welcome roguepixie. 9.5lbs in 4 weeks is really good, well done you!

I'm anticipating a gain on Saturday. It's like once i've started eating I just can't stop Xmas Blush. I'll try to be good tomorrow to minimise the damage.

I was on the old thread Have lost 3 and a half pounds on my own and another 13 with SW which has taken me nearly four months. This is with daily excsersise.
Am now on the verge of quitting NOT because of the weight coming off slowly but because im sick to fucking death of suffering with colic from all the fucking veg im having to eat. IM SICK of being in pain. I thought losing weight was meant to make you feel better. Mentally i feel better but physically i feel like shit stomach wise.

Hi all, I am new. Started SW in August and have lost 2st2 in total (well I had before a gain this week, pretty sure that has come off already but we will see when I weigh in next week).

I sts this week, which is better than I thought it'd be. I've only got 1 night out this week so hopefully I can do well the rest of the week and lose something. I need 4 more lbs to take me to the 2st mark which I'd like to get by Christmas but I'm not going to beat myself up about it if I don't quite make it.
darkest it's really rubbish that all the fruit and veg is making you feel so ill. I don't think anyone would blame you for stopping. Which veg can you eat without making yourself ill? Maybe the rest of us have some suggestions about how to make them more interesting so you can stick to those veg but still have some variety.

roguepixie · 07/12/2013 16:37

Dark, it's miserable if eating better is making you feel worse...if that makes sense? Can you reduce the amount of veg or is there particular veg that is causing more problems? I find peppers cause me problems. Or do you think you could see your doctor? I have to take Omeprazole because I have a hiatus hernia, IBS and silent reflux - all things that can make you feel worse when you eat stuff that aggravates. It may be that you need to take something that allows you to avoid the colic?

Holiday, you can bet your last dollar on it Xmas Grin, but I hope it doesn't bounce back on you.

I have been out for a swim and a walk since the last weigh in and will get at least another two walks and a swim in before Wednesday (my meeting/weigh in day). I'd love to see a stone off before Christmas.

I am also making my own soup and eating that for lunch most days. It's filling but all free/superfree foods.

HI Sorry i was in a foul mood when i wrote that. I went out today and didnt eat anything until 4.30 pm when i got back I felt fine until i started eating and then .....pain again. Doc has already told me to avoid acidic fruit raspberries grapefruit etc so ive been filling up on veg (i say filling it doesnt fill me up tbh.) carrots cauliflower broccoli. If i cut the veg out then that is NO superfree food that i can eat. I excsrseise six days a week SIX FUCKING SIX and have only lost just over a stone in four months. As well as being in pain. I dont mind a slow and steady weight loss but id rather not be in pain from eating ""healthily""

Hi Darkest, sorry you're not feeling great Sad

Can I ask a question? I'm only 2 days in and wondering if I mix my olive oil with water in an empty spray bottle, can I count it as free like Fry Light? I'm on a budget so I want to use up the existing food in my cupboards.

Thanks

roguepixie I'm blaming you if I do!!

Or the 4 cookies I ate tonight...or perhaps the bowl of cauliflower cheese for dinner last night!

Fails miserably.

Oh God, the flatulence Blush Please say it's not just me?

Report
roguepixie · 09/12/2013 12:25

holiday, I accept full responsibility. It will have NOTHING to do with the cookies or cauliflower cheese Xmas Grin.

Young, are you eating lots of beans Xmas Grin? I can't rely on baked beans for that very reason Xmas Blush, tmi???? Also, yes you can do that with olive oil and water but it won't be the same as fry light. It will, of course, reduce the amount of oil you use, which is a good thing.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend? I am starting to stress slightly about Christmas...I am a control freak and, when on the plan, am completely on the plan but when I go off the plan .........

Mostly ate pasta then and potatoes = 1 stone loss in 3 months.
My 2013 has been loads of veg and excsesise six days a week and superfree annnnnnd drum roll = 1 stone loss in 3 months.

SAME RESULT

That's a fantastic loss in 8 weeks Steffanoid! You must be so pleased!

Dark, I'm not really surprised tbh. I think the 1/3 superfree is just another way of limiting calories, whereas limiting the amount of protein and carbs you eat together does the same. Or it seems like that to me anyway.

It's my fifth weigh in tomorrow and I'm hoping I can get another 2.5lb off so I get my stone award. I thought it highly unlikely and expected a gain as I have had two Christmas functions this week, both involving 3 course meals where I ate lots and I drunk loads at the first one and the resultant hang over led to almost a full tube of Pringles and 3 battered sausages and chips... My own scales say I've lost 2 1/2 to 3lbs though, so although it doesn't seem possible, I'm not sure. I shouldn't weigh at home though, I know.

Thanks, roguepixie Smile
It seems to have stopped now, I think my body's become accustomed to all the healthy stuff!

I was also really headachy, probably because I haven't eaten sugar since I started.
My starting weight is 15st 8, my target weight is 11st 7.

It's going well so far, have never felt hungry, but I've been eating at home and taking out packed lunches. I suspect my problem will be going out for coffee, meals out and friends' houses.
