my motivation and will power have jumped ship!!

Hi, I joined slimming world a few weeks back but haven't really done much with it. I did however get the cook books which I find amazing.

However my motivation and will power seemed to have vanished and I cant stick to my eating plan at all. I find I am hungry in-between so I am snacking.

What is a good motivational tool, I am currently stressed to the hilt which isn't good but I know if I could just get going I would be ok.

Any help would be brilliant,
sparklezz

In my vast experience of dieting (17 years and still 2 stone to lose!) you only succeed when your mind is in the right set! Nothing makes me stick to it if my mind doesn't want to!

Hi Sparklezz, I've been going to Slimming world for 3 months and its working well for me but then my head is in the right place, for once.
Do you stay to meetings? I find that motivating as I'm accountable for my eating and weight loss. I find the local Facebook group supportive too.

Also suggest you eat loads of the free food, before you get hungry or picky. I had a few moments where I fancied bad food and I ate my way through it with bananas/ fat free yogurt or other free or low syn food. Also, be prepared, go shopping - you can't eat the right food if they're not in your house! When I've tried to wing it, that's when I've had no or poor weight loss.

I'm now the lowest weight I've been for 15 years.

Wish I could wave a magic wand of motivation for you, I know how hard it is when your heads not in the right place. Good luck! X
