Slimming World

sw when pregnant?

I started of the year with sw but due to some rubbishy things happening I fell of the wagon. I started low carbing a couple of weeks ago but now I'm pregnant Grin the doc doesn't think its a good idea. Which brings me back to sw.
I hate the pressure of my local group ( they are v nice but I dont like the spotlight on me). So this time I'm going to weigh myself at boots once a week instead.
I was just wondering if anyone is is preggers and doing sw? do you find that you loose weight? or is the focus on not gaining?

Congratulations! How far along are you? I'd been doing slimming world prior to falling pregnant however I have decided to leave the classes as the consultant said it would simply be about limiting the amount of weight I gain during pregnancy. Seemed like a waste of £5 a week!

Happy to try and support each other if you want?

We have 2 members pregnant in ours, they both were put as target members at the start of pregnancy so i'm guessing they dont pay. they gain a few pound here and there but one of the ladies in 3 previous pregnancies gained at least 4 stone this time nothing like that. Congratulations to you both aswell xx hope this helps x

we had one lady who had put 6 stone on in her previous pregnancy, this time she ate healthier, and did gain weight , but at a proper and controlled weight, and was eating much more healthier and didn't have much to loose after her baby was born.

sorry for not replying sooner, my internet is being rubbish.
rockchick im 7 weeks
with my first preg I put on 7lbs despite having a massive bump, unfortunately the cake eating since then means I need to loose 3 stone to be healthy. I think I tend to make better food choices when I'm pregnant. How far along are you?

Nearly I'm 5 weeks. Had always been skinny before having DS then gained 5 stone when pregnant and struggled to lose it. Still about a stone over my ideal weight (although normal BMI) and desperately don't want to struggle after giving birth this time :)

Hello!
Can I join you? I'm currently 9+2 weeks with my second. I have been on SW for the last 18 months, got to target though I've slipped off the wagon since I got my BFP and I can feel the weight going back on already, so I have decide I must limit my gain during this pregnancy!
Going to start planning a weekly menu again tonight for shopping tomorrow as I normally do at the weekends and try to keep a lid on it.
BBQ chicken drumsticks, salad, and new potatoes for tea tonight.

hello another pregnant slimming worlder here! I am 5+0 so have only just found out I am pg, but have been doing SW for the past 10 weeks and have lost 20lbs so I want to stick to the plan and limit what weight I gain. Am back to my pre pregnancy weight (this is DC2) but still 3 stone over what I want to be. Last pregnancy I put on 2.5 stone which I didn't think was too bad, but if I can put on less this time then that would be great!

I got the pregnancy leaflet from my consultant and it said you are best to follow the extra easy plan and have 1 extra A and B a day. I am going to have these if I want them but not make it a regular thing if possible. I don't tend to have any/very few syns so am hoping the extra A's and B's will balance that out, especially as I can't spend my syns on alcohol anymore!

Congratulations and good luck to all.

Sorry for your loss readytopop

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and have put on an enormous amount of weight so far, 1.5 stone and I wasn't a small girl to begin with. My midwife suggested Slimming World to try to keep any further weight loss down. I can't get to meetings but have joined online instead.

I'm really confused by it all so far but hoping I'll get the hang of it soon.

Is anyone else still doing it?

I'm sort of semi- on plan, if that makes sense! Trying to keep meals healthy but not counting syns.

I'm counting syns for the moment at least. Need to keep my unhealthy snacking in track. Am adding in more healthy extra's though - extra dairy and wholemeal bread.

Hi ladies, I'm around 6 weeks and was following SW before I found out and had lost nearly 2st. Trying to stay on plan atm but really struggling as I'm constantly hungry and am craving comfort food. Waiting until I've seen the midwife to tell my consultant and will go from there.
