moving round cot.. coughing

just a few qu's..

my ds nearly 4 months movwa around his cot all the wat to bottom and then sideways banging head on bars. removed cot bumper as he has a cold. how can i get him to stay still?
my room stays at a steady 24 no matter what so what should my ds be sleeping in and be covered with. i have a 2 tog growbag and various sheetsand blankets but i never know what to do?
also bubba has a cough what can i do to help him also has a cold..
