Oh yes - need to add that he did iyt without me on his floor too....been weaning off that for the last 4 or so days!

I am feeling very pleased with myself!
CC just wasn't working a few months back. This tool persistence but it was the right option for ds2 (and me!)

Well it has been a bloody nightmare. But nothing was working at all. I was going mildly insane and getting really cross with ds2 and really, it wasn't his fault. It has taken around 3 weeks I think. Not a quick fix but he was distraught doing CC - like vomitting distraught and very very attached and clingy (and night feeding and co-sleeping!!!)

He has not had a nap again today so will be ready for bed by 7 - if not slightly earlier. I think he will always be an early riser like his brother. Until about 6 months ago, ds1's normal wake up time was about 5am - so that isn't as big an issue for me!

Keep yuor fingers crossed. Am prepared for set backs but I do think it has been cracked. The final straw that got it sorted was ditching the cot and putting the mattress on the floor. He hated that cot!

quarter to 8 til 5am today
he settled back til 5:40 but was desperate for milk and up for the day.......
going to try to time it for no nap or a very short nap today
and put a beaker of water next to his bed

sorry this is a very self indulgent thread but just documenting it all has helped me keep almost sane
