My DD is now 5 months and she used to nap for about 1 hour every 2 hours. But now she seems to be sleeping for only about 30-45 mins when she naps making her grumpy when she gets up because she hasnt had enough sleep and then some times like 30mins later go back for a nap for another 30 mins throwing our whole schedule out of wack... is there anyway that i can make her sleep longer to avoid meeting the grumpster everytime she awakes?

What are you doing with her when she naps?

DS is the same age and he powernaps.. it drives me nuts.

The only way we can get him to sleep longer is to put him in his nursery, in the dark with his comforter and keep quiet as much as possible.

other than that, how'd you feel about going for a long drive in the afternoon? Lol.. desperation on a few days has seen me bundle him into the car while i drive around for an hour or so.

well it always changes when she naps, it could be like during playtime or 30 mins after a bottle... and its hard for me because at the moment we're living with grandparents and its the hardest thing for them not to bang cupboards or stomp floors which i'm sure inturrupts her sleep as well. Alos shes bad with her wind and never brings it all up so i dont know if that is what stops her from long naps or what

If you're having problems getting her wind up, get some Gripe water and give it to her after her feed, it should help get the wind up, which in turn might help her sleep.

I understand the noise thing, i've very noisy neighbours and some days i feel like i can't get enough peace and quiet for DS to get a decent sleep.. which i why i suggested the drive, or ig you cant do that, take her for a walk.
