All I want to do is wash my hair!!

Hi
I have two ds one 15 months and one 10 weeks. I feel I am constantly on the go from 7am till 11pm at night.

Ds1 is a great sleeper will go down at 7pm till 7am every night, ds2 is also a great sleeper but will not settle till 11pm which means I have no time what so ever to do any thing else during the day.

Going to give ds2 formula tonight to see if it helps him to settle earlier but when should I give it, straight after his bath at 7pm or as his last feed at 11pm then gradually bring it forward each night hoping he settles earlier. Have been exculsively bf and feel very lucky that when he does go down it is for around 8 hours now then a quick 5 min feed and back to sleep for another 3 hours or so.

But tonight I really want to wash my hair and it just seems like such a task as have no time till after 11pm then I am too knackered.

Any advice please on when to give the formula or on how to settle him earlier, I am going mad!!

Is there anyone else around who can lend a hand? Do you have dh/p who could maybe cuddle ds2 for a while so you can have half an hour to yourself? It's fairly normal for 10-week babies to cluster feed in the evenings, though. I used to put babies into their bouncy chairs, take them into the bathroom and sing to them while I had my shower.
Sympathies!
This stage doesn't last long though.

I remember that stage too. Its horrible and feels like it lasts forever. It doesn't. Itll be gone before you know it.

Anyone who can come round and hold a baby while you have a bath and/or get something to eat?

failing that, sit him in his bouncy chair and let him watch you shower - wailing or not - at least you will be clean and that will make you feel a bit better.

Agree with bouncer in the bathroom, Playgym in the bathroom? (on a duvet or something for extra padding) a swing I found was invaluable for having quick showers aswell xXx

Hi Mower, what does ds2 do between his bath and going to sleep at 11pm? Does he nap on and off or feed? My ds has never been a great sleeper and I tried a bottle of formula at bedtime in desperation but it didn't make the slightest bit of difference.

Between his bath at 7pm and when he eventually falls asleep for good at 11pm he feeds, is wide awake or naps for 20 mins or so.

Have got formula all ready for after his bath, shall keep you updated, have a feeling it wont make any difference though!

I am still like this at times - sometimes it is 4 days before my hair gets washed and I never have time to blow dry it properly but it is in great condition!!!

i used to put dd in pram and wheel into bathroom (downstairs). dd would cry but i felt tonnes better. even resorted to 2 in 1 shampoo (yuk). we tried formula - didn't make a bit of difference - apart from she stopped pooing! I remember that she gradually started going to bed earlier at around 10-11 weeks. before we knew it she was asleep at 7.30. it won't be much longer now.
