My DS yr 6 got up last night, got dressed for school and went down stairs to pack her bag. It was 1.30am.

DS has done a few things like this before, have to warn people if she has a sleepover. She looks wide awake but hasn't a clue.

Anyone else has any experience of this. And if so was the child always a poor sleeper like mine. Other DS loves to be asleep.

My ds2 is 5 and hasn't walked in his sleep for several months now. His sleep walking was connected with an urge to wee and he used to run around the landing in a panic trying to find the loo, usually peeing in the corner by the bathroom door if we didn't get to him in time. HV suggested only water to drink after 5 and it seems to have worked. He still shouts, wails and grinds his teeth like a goodun' but then so did I as a child.

I found DS1 in his wardrobe when he was much younger. He also has conversations with himself in his sleep, mainly if he is worried about something.

hi!

There was a story on the BBC website yesterday about a girl who climbed out of her window whilst sleepwalking - fortunately she landed on a pile of carpets so wasn't hurt! Can't find the link though.

I sleptwalked when I was younger - one time I got up, got dressed, went next door and asked if so and so was playing! Word of advice - always make sure your front door is locked!

My ds1 sleepwalks a lot. He terrifies his brother by stumbling around the bedroom climbing on furniture.

I just changed my name too. Methinks I may have to change it. 3 ding dongs hmm

My sister used to sleep walk. We were on holiday in Aviemore (scotland) one winter. She climbed out of the top bunkbed went downstairs outside into the snow then back in again and to bed. My mum found her the next morning asleep in soaking wet pjs and the front doorwas wide open with a big bank of snow built up against it.
