OK to sleep overnight in bouncy chair?

ds (9 wks) has a very stuffy nose at the moment so until now we've been raising his moses basket up at a slight angle to help it - he gradually slips down to the bottom in the night because of his wriggling and wakes up when his legs get bent against the end... But it struck me he really likes his bouncy chair and can be fixed in position in it. He already uses it for naps, but is there any physical reason why he shouldn't use it for a long period like overnight?

I did this with ds when he was stuffed up, just make sure he is warm and seems comfy and he'll be fine!

there will be stuff said about damage to spine, lay babies flat on back, but tbh a 9wk baby will not be in there for great lenghs of time(feeding/changing through night) and if it help the little mite sleep i think its ok, just not all the time.
actually wish id thought of it when dd a baby and congested!

Does he sleep, in a grobag? This should stop the wriggling.

I did it for a few weeks all in when my ds was tiny. He is fine and was very settled. I think its a good idea, go with what you feel is best.

my DR actually recommended DS sleep in his car seat when he was full of cold at about 9 weeks.

Have you tried Karvol? I can't remember when its suitable from so you wd to check the packet.

I did it a few times in the early days through pure exasperation, as dd would not settle in cot or moses basket. Thankfully, it does not seem to have done any lasting damage
