please can some one give me some advice or help! Over the last two weeks my son (15 months) who has always gone to bed alone and fallen asleep alone has turned into a nightmare at bedtime. He screams mummy constantly when i leave the room and twice has gone over the cot. Thank god both times i was in the room and caught him.
Im now scared to leave the room incase he does it and falls but at the same time hes getting his way as im staying with him until he falls asleep. I think hes to young for a bed so what i do? Any advice appreciated. thanks.

Is it a drop side cot or a cot bed ? I removed dd's drop side and she slept in it ,3 sided for many months. You could use a bed guard or just put it on lowest setting with a doubled up quilt or pillows on the floor.

its a cot and not sure if the side would come off but thanks. the hv said he should go into a bed but we just arnt sure (Hes 17 months not 15, cant count!)

Every bedtime we now have to stay with him as he threatens to go over. I worry about the getting a bed due to all the other hazards around his room e.g his rocking chair, cupboard etc.

might have to try gradual withdrawl and hope this is just a phase.
