2 day old and dummys

Ok my dd is 2 days old and a total nightmare at night. Tbh shes great during the day but at night all it is is graze on a formula bottle and js constantly rooting. Im wasting formula by the bucket load and its gettinf expensive can i give her a dummy? Pleaase im only gettinf 20 mjns sleep at night

Yes. My DS had a dummy from about 2 days old until he was 12 weeks old as his sucking reflex was so strong when he was trying to get to sleep. Good luck.

I think it totally normal though to graze at 2 days surely? If breastfed many mothers won't be producing milk yet still so it's natures way of encouraging it

I would buy some ready made formula for the next week or so. Once opened it can stay in fridge 24hrs so you can just add 1-2 oz at a time and warm so you aren't wasting loads. She's still learning how to feed and stomach tiny as never been used to food yet
