Sleep

15 week old having trouble napping for childminder.

I've just started back at work 4 mornings a week and DD is with a childminder in our house.

She's still so little that it kills me slightly to leave her but on top of that the CM is finding she's really resisting naps. She's a catnapper and generally quite wakeful but usually goes for 45 mins in the morning and another 30 mins around 11.30/12 and this keeps her chirpy.

But with CM she's only managed one 30 min nap and maybe another 5 mins at 11.30- on Thurs it was just 10 mins then 5 and 5.

CM has tried rocking/buggy to get her off again but no joy. The poor little mite is still smiley but has teeny bags under her eyes when I get home at 1. It breaks my heart! Sad

Now it's only my first week back so of course this set-up is very new to her and I'm sure she's just a bit unsettled, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's been in a similar situation. I'm worried about such a little baby getting such a useless amount of sleep in the 6 hours from getting up (wakes at 7, I'm home at 1). And about her being worried or stressed by the new situation I guess. Will it settle do you think? Will it harm her being away from me while so young and not being relaxed enough to sleep?? I should add CM is LOVELY- very warm and gentle, big fan of cuddles, would never leave her crying.

Guilt, worry, PFB, etc. Words of wisdom and a bit of support needed please!
