1 year old still can't go to sleep alone

This is entirely our fault but our 13 month old needs a bottle and cuddling to go to sleep. If you put him down awake he just stands up and laughs and essentially wakes himself up. Sometimes it can take us hours to get hi to sleep. Is it too late to try something? If so...what? He also wakes at least once a night for a whole bottle of milk.....Help! !!

Is it a problem for you or are you worried because you think no one elses kids do this?

DS still fed to sleep at 13 months, and from what I've heard there are masses of children who still do so (or are cuddled/etc). It didn't take hours though, so is that the problem? Does it take hours if you cuddle/feed or just if you try putting him down awake?

Waking up once a night is also not unusual, at this age they could still genuinely be needing a feed. If it's problematic for you you could try night weaning.

Here's an article on night weaning: drjaygordon.com/attachment/sleeppattern.html
