Hi, I have a 6 week old and I know it's quite normal for them to prefer sleeping on mum in the early days. However when should I start trying to put her down more? What complicates it is she has some kind of wind/reflux problem so cries a lot which means I'll do anything for an easier life and also it means holding her upright for ages after a feed is best for her.
She will sleep in her cosleeper bed at night but only if I feed her to sleep and slide her in, often with the dummy.
Should I be trying more to put her down to sleep on her own and if not, when should I try? I do have a sling (moby wrap) but she wriggles out of it or kicks off when I'm putting her in it! I need to learn how to tie it better perhaps. I'm just worried about getting to a later stage and still being like this, and people saying "oh you should have let it get to this stage"!
