Hi.
This is my 1st post.... Wondering of anyone has any advice for a very early waking 14m old?
Bit of background. He has slept through since 10m, settles self to sleep at bedtime, in the night if he wakes and at naps. Hehas always been a fairly early waker 5.30-45, six at best most days and that's fine!! He has recently dropped down to one nap (just started refusing the second one daily even when we pushed it as late as we could without affecting bedtime) which at the moment falls between 10.30-11.30 (depending what time he wakes) and lasts anywhere from 1.5-2.5hrs.
Since dropping to one nap he is now in bed by 6.30.
This morning he woke at 4:30 I could here him coughing a bit (a dry cough) so I went in have him his beaker and left again. He then grumbled, stood up/sat down/lay down etc for 45mins till at 5:20 he made it clear that was it it was time to get up!! On other mornings Iv left him and if he's up and jumping just gone in and lay him down and left again!
I wouldn't mind if he seemed well rested at 4.30 but he is obviously still tired!
Iv made a point of not getting him out of the cot and giving him a Breastfed till 5.30.
I'm sure its a phase and I know there is a wonder week soon but any other ideas of how to deal with it would be great... Thanks!
