why is my co-sleeping one year old suddenly waking up?

My ds has just turned one he's always been a crappy sleeper but recently was only waking up once a night sometimes sleeping through.
In the last fortnight he has started waking up loads, last night he woke up at 1, 2 then was up for an 1 1/2 then woke up at 5 (5 is his normal wake up time)
We've been thinking that are co-sleeping days are coming to a end anyway but we're moving house this week and were going to wait until he's settled at the new house. He had his jabs last week. Has anyone else's one year old done this? And has anyone got any tips on going from co-sleeping to cot?
