Controlled Crying and Day Time Dummy HELP

Hi,

I appreciate that there are loads of threads and topics discussing 'Controlled Crying' but i have a more specific question.

Should this continue during the day as well? For example, if the night time CC is successful, should we stop giving our little one her dummy during the day time for naps (in fact at any point)

Our typical night is that she falls asleep unaided (just a dummy) before 7pm and cry's for a dummy up to 10 times during the night. She doesn't want us to pick her up, change her, feed her or anything else - just the dummy popped in.

Last night we commenced Controlled Crying and after the first 28 minutes of screaming, settled and slept until the morning. What we are unsure about is whether to take away the dummy completely now during the day?

Appreciate any help or advise

Hi :)

I'm on the Jo Frost CC thread. Think we have a similar problem with dummy addiction and frequent wakings; in that we're not doing CC since there is no crying - just pop dummy in and leave but still the wakings.

No advice other than suspect we will have be to go cold turkey to see the results others have.

Sorry, just to add if I were you and managed a night without I'd bin the dummy! How old is your LO?
