sorry can't help. iwould have been mad for waking a sleeping baby/child.

at what time do you put him down in the evening? maybe he does not need 12h in a row but 10+2h nap in the day?

Just to clarify. This is where you wake your dc up an hr before their usual wake up time over about three days which is supposed to reset their body clock.

We tried the "Ignore DC until 7 AM" method. It worked.

Waking a child at a set time every day could give him the habit of waking at that time from then on.

Does he then go down for another sleep before 9am?
We had this for a year with DS1 and not letting him sleep again till after 9 sorted it in 3 days.

You have my sympathies. Anything before 6am is barbaric!

Yep, I did this when she was abou2.5. She was waking at 4. I had never had a full nights sleep til this point. Roused her at 3, slept til 8. Next night woke her too much and took 2 hrs to go back to sleep but slept til 8. Did this for 2 more nights. She's now 5.5 and has never had an early morning wake up since. It is seriously like magic!

Chacha - glad this worked for you. i read that just maybe change their nappy or move them slightly to wake them enough but not fully. How did you do it?
