Help me troubleshoot new problem with 3 month old's night sleeps

Agh! Perhaps it is because she was under the weather. I don't even want to know what 'sleep regression' is -- sounds ominous confusedsmile

What you can do is go to bed early and enjoy a nice long sleep from 8-2:30am! Very few (if any?) babies maintain a consistent routine from the early days. Bedtime gradually works itself earlier and daytime naps shift and reduce over time which obviously can affect night time sleep. Sleep regressions throw everything into disarray (she may be starting the four month sleep regression early as my DS did --never to get better again--) as does teething, illness etc etc etc. I think the only 'routine' you can expect is you having to change what you're doing on a very regular basis for the first 12 months of your baby's life! (And, unfortunately, accept that sleep deprivation is part of it all. You get hardened to it, eventually smile)

She is only 3 months old. Your dd's routine can change at any time. This happened quite a few times with my ds. Once I got into the swing if his routine it changed.

Not sure what you can do, I just went with my ds routine. To me it was easier.

Is there any chance if you put your dd down for a sleep at a certain time she would fall asleep?

DD was in a good pattern of napping in the day, feeding and dozing through the evening while we sat downstairs, then sleeping from 12-5.30 or 6am.

All this has gone recently with DD starting sleep at 7.30 or 8, exhausted, and sleeping through til 2.30am, then waking every hour or so restlessly until the 7am or so when we give in and get up.

What can I do to get my routine back? She is EBF on demand. Any advice appreciated I am extremely tired.
