4month old sleep tips - waking hourly

hi my 4 month old wakes hourly. He is currently only fed breast milk. I've heard baby rice too early can cause issues such as diabetes later (husband is diabetic so want to discourage this). but i am desperate for sleep and am now suffering insomnia just waiting for him to wake again. If theres nothing i can do when do they grow out of it?
