We've just establihed a nice routine for getting my DS to sleep for his nap which involves me holding his hand until he drops off. Doesn't usually take longer than about 10 mins which is nice. However, still can't get past the 30 mins nap thing and its driving me potty!

My dd only started to get her naps sorted when she was about 8-9 months old. I can't remember exactly what happened but we got down to two naps a day and she started to go for longer. The real turning point was nursery really, which she started at that point. At about a year, they moved her to a room where they had one nap a day. She now sleeps for 1-2 hours after lunch daily. It's bliss, but I well remember the hell that was three or four 30-minute naps a day and a grumpy baby in between. Sorry not much help, but it will get better.

dd was like this, I kept rushing in whenever she woke up, in the end I left her to it (tho not if she was crying hysterically) she nattered away to herself and nodded back off, infact she is doing it right now (can hear her thro the intercom) babbling away and yawning but I'm not giving in and I'm not going up Grin
