The weirdest thing happened...
Some of you will be familiar with my whines about no sleep since christmas yardy yardy yah, but suddenly last nite I put dd (9m) in her cot at 7pm as normal and waited for her to wake up and cry but she didn't... so I went to bed... couldn't sleep waiting to be woken up but must have eventually dropped off, woke at 6am to a quiet house, dashed to see what had happened to dd and she was sleeping soundly in her cot, happy out! Went back to bed!
She's transformed over night! I've done no controlled crying, no gradual withdrawal, no pick up put down or any of the other things I was preparing myself for... so bizarre, she
Yesterday she was screaming blue murder if I even put her NEAR her cot!!
This morning after 12 hours undisturbed sleep we played for a few hours and then she went back to sleep in her cot for another hour without a murmur!

I'm just baffled and delighted! Just wanted to share the joy!!!

My dd did this to me last Sat night, but it was a one off, just to show me what I'm missing.
Long may it continue for you! I like the idea they will just do it when they are readySmile
