14 Month Old Wakes Early and Won't Nap!

My 14 month old dd wakes up like clockwork each morning at 0600am. She is normally in bed by 6.30 although even if we push it 'til 7.30 she still wakes up at 0600! She seems to have dropped her morning nap (used to have about 45 mins at 0830m)and the result is that by 11am she is inconsolable and often needs to be put to bed before lunch! It also means that we have a long afternoon - ie she is wrecked by 5pm - before bedtime. I understand that babies of dd's age often do drop the morning nap - but has anyone any tips on how to get her to sleep later in the morning - even until 7am would be much better! Or is this just not possible Grin. I try and make sure she eats a good tea each night and then she has a banana and some milk before bed - although she does seem to be hungry at 6am, which is fair enough, it's a long time without food for a baby! Any tips would be appreciated!

bunyanvillas you will find its a fase that she is going through my ds is 19 months and he used o sleep untill 8.30am this morning it was 4.30 but usually 6.30, is she teething by any chance thats when my ds sleep patterns alter. You tend to find they get into a regular pattern and think hay weve cracked it and then it all changes. I think you have to go with it for the minute shes getting enough food before bedtime so hang in there.

We are in the process of having this problem

Ds wakes at 5.30am (bedtime between 6.30pm and 7pm). Even if he goes to bed at 8pm which he occasionally does he still wakes at between 5am and 5.30am.

Then he is really tired and needs a nap between 9-10am but if he takes one he often has trouble sleeping in the afternoon so gets really tired before bed and if he doesn't take one he crashes out at 11am and sleeps before lunch so wakes up early hungry before 1.30pm and is again really tired in the evening.

We can't work out how to make him sleep late in the morning either Sad

No answers I'm afraid but will watch this thread with interest.
