Baby ski suit

Hi,

I am looking for a snow / ski suit for a 9-10 month old baby.

We are going to Cervinia so will be high alitude (and cold!)

Could anyone please give me brands they have used which are good in these conditions. He is likely to want to crawl / sled around.

He will ski with us but in a carrier.

Columbia, Reima (hard to get hold of in UK though), Tchibo and Decathlon are good buidget options. A lot of skilifts won't let you on with a baby carrier and you may well not be permitted to ski like that however good you are.

Please will you seriously consider all consequences before attempting to ski with your baby on your back. It doesn't matter how good you are it only takes one out of control beginner or boy racer to take you out.
As Liz says most lifts won't take you anyway.
Also if you have baby on your back make sure he's warm enough, you're moving but he's not - enough said.
Here in Austria most babies are pulled around on the wooden sledges with backs to them and they are usually in a snow suit and also a cosytoes .

Thanks - We are very experienced skiers and will take all precautions... Agree about the coldness - that is what worries me.

We have a skidoo so can bypass lifts - I wouldn't want to take the baby on anything with a cross bar.

I skied last year (5.5months PG) and have to say, was shocked by some of the attitudes - one woman had a go at me for skiing while pregnant, but then couldn't understand why I wasn't drinking!! (this was France though! )

We have two other kids - now 11 and 14, who have also skied since they were babies.

I don't (personal choice) like Tschibo but will take a look at Decathalon... I have found a nice Roxy suit and am still looking for a nice Quiksilver one.
