DS1 is missing the white stuff a lot, I'll show him this later

He only just passed it! Then he stopped & presumably went back to see what was up?

oops only just seen these replies, was back in the UK last week.

The body was ds1 and he was fine!

Mrs Guy - it was taken where we live - Muehlbach am Hochkoenig, about 45 minutes south of Salzburg, here are some more snowy photos taken in our 1st winter here.

ps - the t bar on the piste is now being replaced with gondola for this season, and the piste is being widened, creating a 9km long blue run through the trees.

week was great and here's the spoiler so don't tell - we decided to move back to the UK - just have to sell up 1st though so it won't be in the imminent future. We just all slotted back in to our lives there, boys carried on with friends as though they'd never left. Not a great decision financially but hey , there's more important things than money.

Thanks for asking btw

I ask as one who moved back from Austria to UK in May, albeit at end of DHs contract etc. Let us know when it's on the TV! It takes time, but now beginning to settle in, that being said DS and I are off to Vienna for 4 nights the week after next . You must go there before you leave, buy/use your Vorteils card on the train and get yourself to Wien .

I know,I know we must get there soon
Did you move back to where you'd moved from? How old is your ds? Was he already speaking German, and if so, has he continued?

We left UK when DS was 5 months old and moved back when he was 5.5, so although we have moved back to the same place it was all new to him. Yes his German is (was?) fluent and I have explored a number of options to keep it up. Tried to join a German Saturday school www.germansaturdayschools.co.uk/ but was, ahem, politely turned away as neither parent was as "native" speaker......
I then found a local family with a German Au Pair and she has been coming to spend 2 x 1 hour sessions with him each week. Basically babysitting him and only speaking German. It has worked really well as DS enjoyed it and the Au Pair earned some money, but sadly she has now returned to Germany so I am seeking a replacement. I did also try to research primary schools that teach German as a second language but it's almost impossible to find. If by any chance you live near Abgindon then this is an interesting option www.esculham.net/culham.php. There are also the (secondary) schools that have a langauge specialism www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/specialistschools/what_are/language/
