Going skiing in biggish group, children in kids clubs, adults hitting slopes, me in chalet with book. Now starting to think it might get tad boring for a week, so any other ideas for things to do?

Lots of resorts have prepared winter walking trails, also check if resort has an indoor pool. You can buy "walkers" passes for the lifts which mean you can meet the skiers for lunch.

How far gone are you? I went skiing whilst pregnant and it was fine.

Wehre are you going ? There may eb a spa attached to a hotel or treatments on offer at the sports centre/pool or museums , exhibitions. Winter walks are good, you can sit out and watch then meet others at mountain cafes.

You might hire 'raquet' shoes and plod around in the snow on them; or go ice skating; or swimming; or take a bus or train ride up/down the valley to admire the view or go shopping; reading (obviously); mumsnetting (if you can get internet access).

I'm sure there's other things too - but alot depends what's available at your resort.

i'm 25 weeks, and not the greatest skier, so unlikely to do any skiing. LIZS - thats a good link, will make sure i pack my swimming costume - may even get fit in the pool while i'm away! I'm sure shopping will also make up part of the stay - after all, if i'm saving money on ski hire etc.....

Just come back from a week- went to spa, swam, slept , read , knitted for baby, played nintendo ds .was lovely but a week was enough.

Is ice skating ok when your pregnant?

I skiied at 7 weeks, but only because it was already booked and paid for, and was only a long week end. I have never skiied so well in my life! My technique was superb, I was terrified of falling over! Felt OK skiing, but felt awful on the flight.

Les Gets is such a pretty resort - there is a market on one of the days (unfortunately lots of delicious uncooked ham and fantastic french cheeses which you probably won't want to eat!) but I suggest you track down a spa hotel! Enjoy the market for a whole morning, jump in the free bus and head to Morzine (10mins further up the valley) and go and explore some of the other villages). If you are in a chalet ask the chalet hosts for other activities..... Enjoy the peace and quiet, sleep loads, have long baths, paint your toenails.... Have fun!
