Hi, we're thinking of going to borovets at NY or feb half term, as its really cheap (we have to go at peak times, so can't afford a swanky resort.)

we also want our youngest- aged 3- to have a go at skiing, but only the really expensive companies seem to start them that young.

does anyone know what inghams kids' clubs are like? there is v little info about them in the brochure, so am a little bit unsure whether to book with them.

i'm not expecting much from borovets- resort wise, but would be glad to hear your experiences of it.

tia

Hi Noonar

I have no idea of childcare but my BIL and SIL have been to Borovets twice and they love it.
Very cheap apparently and good for skiing too.

Yup - been skiing since I was 5, and been to Borovets several times, and with Inghams strangely enough. First couple of times I went, I was lucky enough to have 1 to 1 teaching which was great, but the group classes were also very good. I've also stayed in the Rila, and found it to be a pleasant if not completely modern hotel with a good lounge are and friendly staff. Our ski instructors often came over for a few drinks! I recommend the Bulgarian theme nights, they gave me a real sense of the traditions (and my fist taste of gluvine...mmmm).
Although I started at 5, I don't think 3 is too young. It's a passion that has stayed with me, and I always think of Bulgaria fondly. I've outgrown it personally, but I'd love to take my DH and kid(s) there someday.
