Going to Mayrhofen this weekend and although DH and DD will be skiing, I won't be, what will there be for me to do?? really worried that I'll spend an entire week just reading Sad.
Also are there any restaurants you can recommend or indeed any advice that you have would be appreciated Smile. TIA

I've been pre-kids and had a great time. From what i remember there's plenty of cafe/bars/restaurants and it should be easy enough for you to get the bubble up the mountain to meet the family for lunch/hot choc. There's also a swimming pool, some tobaggan runs and winter walking trails so plenty to do with or without the family. Tourist information should also be able to suggest some local attractions too. You'll have a great time!

Thanks Ski I hadn't thought of tourist information Blush The winter walking trails sound nice, too.

I was there a few weeks ago, you can get gondola up and go to a few of the differen bars & restaurants at top of hill. New restaurant called Panoramic at the top of hill is good. Book a massage? Quite a few nice shops...you could take the train to nearby resorts too. Lots of long walks....visit the ice bar up the hill..

Oh yes, The ice bar at the top of the Ahorn - Great for a gluhwein while sunbathing on the beanbags (if they still have them). Not to be confused with the Ice bar at the bottom of the Penken which is also great but for a completely different reason [reminiscing of ridiciously loud europop beats, dreadful dancing, copious amounts of booze....[big grin] happy days]
