Has anyone been to Les Arcs 2000 in France? What was good, what was not so good? What are your top tips? Have DS1 will be 6, and DS2 will be 4.5 years old. It's me, DH, DS1 and DS2 and FIL.

We're going with Esprit Ski who seem ok. It's not posh by any stretch of the imagination but want to know what's there, around and what to look for....

Restaurant experiences also please as I think we'll eat out on the non catered night in our chalet.

Thank you !!!

We went when our youngest two were the same age as yours, but not with Esprit, we self-catered in an apartment. Busier than Austrian resorts, but not excessively. We had a lovely sunny week with masses of snow in early April.

We ate out a few times at night, nothing particularly special.

We stayed there over new year, self catered in an apartment with DD 15. We ate out a couple of times in Kilamanjiro & Le Savoy, food was good but pricey about 120.00 euros for the 3 of us, would recommend booking a table in advance when you get there as they do get very busy, we watched lots of families being turned away. Great skiing conditions, loads of snow. Bowling & Ice rink in arcs 2000 but did not try these out.

The only downside for us was took approx 2 hours to get into/out of resort due to amount of traffic of people arriving & leaving, but having said that just booked apartment again for this new year.

What apartments did you stay in bluestrawberry and were they spacious and in a good location? We're thinking of going to Les Arcs (one of the various villages), next year with our two small DSs and I'm trying to work out where to stay. Where to Ski and Snowboard says there are some old, cramped apartments and some newer, spacious ones, so I want to make sure we end up with one of the latter!

We stayed in Le valet, booked direct with owner using owners direct website. The apartment had 2 bunk beds & double sofa bed in the lounge we found it to be quite spacious for us, it had recently been refurbished. The location was good about a 100m from the ski school meeting point & ski lifts, restaurants. We have booked to stay in the fond blanc apartments for this new year again booked through owners direct.

Thanks - I'll take a look at Owners Direct.
