Young children- all in one ski suit or jacket and salopettes?

just looking for views really...
I know all the little European kids tend to wear all in ones.
Which do you think are more practical for 4 and 5 year olds?

I'd go for the two piece as might get two seasons out of it as a little more room for expansion. Jacket is also useful when not skiing, even if it's just for those days when their usual coat is soaking wet or in the wash. They can also take jacket off at lunch time.

Two piece for me also as its easier to go to the toilet for the little ones. Less trailing on the ground of sleeves and hoods.

Two piece as well - we take 2 pairs of salopettes in case of accidents.

DS had salopettes and a jacket at that age - easier for the toilet and will last at least a couple of years as you can let the straps out. Also if it's really sunny, they can take the jacket off.

Anyone interested Lidl have salopettes and jackets in from thursday as well as helmets and goggles. They have a deal on if you buy jacket/salopettes together.

2 piece. With thermal layers so that they don't get a cold back peeping out.

And don't buy Lidl Goggles. Have seen too many kids suffering from sun in the eyes because cheap goggles offer no protection. Snow blindness is not fun!

We went all in one last season (3) for DD1. It still fits so that's what she's in this season too. We went to Canada and it was cold. All the little ones had all in ones there.

I'm wondering the same thing at the moment. My DD is going to France with her Dad first week march, could be fairy warm by then, but DD is a chilly thing at the best of times. I can't help feeling that she will be warmer in an all in one.

She currently has the H&M ski set which she could take as a spare but daddy is keen on Helly Hansen so he will buy her new gear from there.

I'm torn!

Another reason for separate jacket and salopettes is so the jacket can be worn to/from the plane.

One piece may well be too hot in march. It's hard enough for them to go to the toilet with all the gear on; a one piece would make it virtually impossible.
