Whatever happened to 'My Tornado Hell'?

Does anyone else remember it? Caroline Phillips getting her knickers in a twist over the demise of her 'hand polished specialist plaster'?

And them having to stay in Claridges because 'there is no other hotel'?

I just found the livejournal copy to email to some friends who had never read it, but I wanted the Mumsnet thread that went with it and it has disappeared.

Where can it be? Were there complaints to mumsnet HQ?

I think we should be told.

Was it on chat? It might have disappeared if it was.

Hilarious, I sometimes think of that article/thread and snigger.

I saw some floating shelves in B&Q the other day....

It may have been 'in the news' yurt, but no amount of searching on 'My tornado hell', 'caroline phillips' or even 'vomited clementines' brings it up.

And there was a link to it from another blog which only brings up an empty thread.

Strange.

I think Mumsnet HQ has been Got At by the Kensal Rise Residents Association.

Ah that's a real shame that it wasn't saved for the Mumsnet classics section. Maybe I'll put out an appeal...

you've made me want to re-read it now. I'll have to go and search for the self actualising thread instead- another classic.

" And he loved what's left of our specialist-polished plaster walls."
I'd forgotten about poor Beryl as well.

There's so much of it, isn't there?

Who could forget:

'Then we heard that a fiftysomething man had suffered serious head injuries. With rising foreboding, we went from official to official, from Mothodist Church Hall to the British Legion centre, to find out if it was our friend Chris Barker. It wasn't.'

Well, that's OK then

We can ask Tech to dig it out if it was in chat - shouldn't be lost forever. Will get back to you.
