...how do you reverse your choice and go for Mumsnet Nouveau?

Just go back to "customise talk board" and choose the new format.

ShaunOfTheThread · 26/10/2007 19:16

Thanks. But where on the customis page can you click for the new format?

Scroll down a bit and there is the section called colour something and samples of the three options. Choose there.

And choose "read like a book" too.

I too panicked and went back to mumsnet classic. Just now I went to see how to change back (just for you int that sweet) and as soon as I had the new style, I went "nooooo" and went back to classic. I will get used to the new way eventually but it will take me a while...

Thanks. But now I'm even more confused. I thought the new format was one that allowed you to ignore whole topics at will. But all I've changed is the colour scheme. How do I click to ignore For Sale? (I don't mean clicking individual sale threads, I mean the whole For Sale area of the talkboard)

lol
It was hilarious when it all changed for me, I was actually refreshing the page and it went down and then I started hyperventilating cause it wasn't working and then it started again and I went'eeeewwwwwww aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh its all weird'
My mate was here who is the web designer at the local city council and he said'
I get this all the time, I change things to be better and everyoine complains lol'

So I breathed a huge sighj of releif when I saw I could go to classic and he was saying 'just try it' and I said I will when I'm ready' I can't cope with it just changing like BANG'
He was almost rolling on the floor laughing

shaun, posted you this on Twig's thread where you were asking the same thing-

shaun you can opt out of topics including the dreaded For sale on MN classic
go to customise active conversations
got to the bit that says
'You may manage the list of topic exclusions here'
click on the word 'here'
voila!

hope this helps

ShaunofTheThread - you are not alone ... I haven't found how to ignore Sales either!

Report
ShaunOfTheThread · 26/10/2007 19:33

Please please please someone tell me how I can click to ignore whole topics, not just individual threads. I want For Sale and Wanted to just go away.

ShaunofTheThread - look at the top of the page you are on - right under the dark blue line at the top - there is a line with:

Active Convs: active conversations customise active conversations customise talk board

Report
TheUnholyTrinityRhino · 26/10/2007 19:37

shaun are you sure you are looking at 'customise ACTIVE CONVERSATIONS'???
not customise talk board??

I'm not being horrible or saying your stupid, just trying to help as I know how frustrating it must be not to be able to sort your mumsnet.

sorry shaun x-posts
can you see the customise active conversations bit near the top?
click, scroll down to:

Ignored Topics and Threads
The following topics and threads will never appear in your active conversations list. You may manage the list of topic exclusions here. To add a thread to your "ignore" list, just click "ignore" next to it in active conversations. To stop ignoring a thread, click "show" below. (Threads you have previously ignored, but which are no longer active may not show up in the list below.)

(have bolded the here for you
it appears in a different colour on the actual page cos it's a link)

And thank you trinity rhino. Saying 'I'm not saying you are stupid' made me feel even stupider. Which I deserved.
