How would they ever decide on which were 'our' favourite songs?
Are we supposed to all like a certain type of music when we become parents?

It's a great idea, but, IMO, not possible. Logistically, the amount of work that it would involve - dealing with all the publishers, record companies and so on, waiting to get clearance from each artist etc - and the actual costs of licensing each track, would make it totally unworkable.

Not to mind the protracted online fight that would ensue about what went on it

witchandchips · 29/10/2007 11:25

but can we have the fight anyway?

Certainly, I'll go first. I like James Blunt and Katie Melua

Oh no Abbey I was being deliberately contentious. I don't like either of them, I was just trying to oblige wichandchips with a scrap

Sorry, still recovering from a 17 hour journey from the Scilly Isles and not quite up to speed. Perfect suggestions for a scrap though, or even a virtual arm wrestle.

I vote for

Dusty Springfield, In the middle of nowhere
Sandy Shaw, Rose Garden
Francoise Hardy, Tout les garcons et les filles

(having 60s pop sesh atm)
