When you graduate from being a 'newbie'????

How often do you have to post before you become a regular MNer????

and when are you considered MN royalty????

when you don't have to ask...mn too big for this now I think you have to choose a small pond like the bar or something rather than the whole ocean of mn

Have a slice of lemon drizzle cake!

That promotes you instantly from being a newbie.

MarsLady - I even have a LDC BAG!!!!!

  1. I think you have to make morningpaper's roundup

  1. I think there's an equation involving hours lurking squared plus name changes in the first months divided by the mean 'threads I'm on' in your first month multiplied by your IP address squared.

  1. Come the revolution, there will be no royalty.

Sorry, amendment to 2:

No idea dont think I am classed as a newbie but also dont know if am a recognised regular..I KNOW I am not royalty..pmsl

some people become regulars overnight, some never really get there.

think it has more to do with personality than number of posts tbh.

it probably makes a differance if your threads i'm on is permantly hovering at 'more than 40' (anyone lese very relieved they stopped making that red? )

I know all of you lot but have only just heard of OP and also Evilsmelling.

When you imagine that you have some importance or worth that you can spout about, and 3 other mn's come and agree how wonderful you are.

Remember these are just fleeting words over your monitor typed by imposters!

PinkTulips · 20/05/2007 11:41

no mamazon, never done a swap yet (don't think i have much worth swapping or i'd be tempted, lol)

i know you too though from reading your threads (and you used to have a differant less flattering name didn't you?)

every single poster here has Worth and importance though Wots.

without all these "newbies" Mn would fade away. and each and every posters opinion is valid and worthy of being posted. whether others agree with that opinion is teh beauty of MN.

And however obscure your own opinion you will undoubtedly have a fair few posters agree with you....even if teh majority do not.

I have been here for probably 5 years now but many won't recognise me unless on childbirth or feeding threads. I don't ofetn stray out into the 'big' world. There are loads of posters i don't recognise but i think a lot of that has to do with namechanging which I have never done. Who needs recognition anyway!

RustyBear · 20/05/2007 11:45

I've been here about 15 months (had to check, couldn't believe it was that long, but that's what my profile says)

I have been mentioned on morningpaper's round up

I have a lemon drizzle bag (and a teashop mug)

I followed the UCM - is that you thread, from the start though I didn't post on it till much later

I don't usually make any lists, but I have been mentioned a couple of times when I'm not around

I don't think I'm a newbie, but I'm not an old timer either

But I don't really think it matters, because nobody ever treated me any differently when I was new.
