I see people say " marking my place" so you must be able to do it but I don't know how!

I don't know how it works on a phone but on my laptop I hover over the bottom right corner of the last message I've read. The word 'bookmark' appears and I click on it. It turns into the word 'saved'. Then when I return to a thread it automatically takes me to that message.

I also click on 'watch this thread' at the top of the page (above the thread title). Then when I go on Mumsnet I can choose 'threads I'm watching' so that I don't have to spend ages searching for it.

If you click on 'customise'' above the thread title you can also choose to have all your posts highlighted in one colour and the OPs in another. This can also help when reading a thread to find certain messages.

When people write 'marking my place' they are simply adding themselves easily to a conversation without bookmarking. They can then choose 'threads I'm on' because they are now on it. Just another way to keep your place but sometimes others get peed off with this method as it contributes nothing to the conversation.

Do you get three little dots at the bottom right of a post? Click on those and the bookmark option will come up - among others.

Bad luck. My MN changed today to a version I've never seen before so which one of the current 43 and a half versions you've ended up with, I have no idea. Hopefullly, another poster can assist. Wink
