On the desktop site.

The option to show who the thread was started by and when is still showing. But selecting "Yes" (or indeed "No") for this option does not stay when you click save.

Just letting it be known in case it had not been mentioned.

I've saved NewMumsnet style and saved all my other settings, but the "Thread Started by" IS NOT WORKING!!!

We are really sorry about all the upheaval but we promise the Techs are working on it. Normal service will be resumed soon. Apologies again.

FWIW, I like the new site on my iPod

I was just wondering where the 'thread started by' had gone.

It's what made me venture this way. I like 'thread started by', it's useful and my screen looks weird without it.

I just dropped by to see if anyone else was getting this. Was fine earlier today I think.

Oops, just read your post, Sarah. Didn't mean to copy it!

I wasn't having slow I loading issues but I am now. If I try to open this thread from TIO, it tries to load the whole thread on one page and never gets to the end, eventually thread becomes unresponsive and I have to close the browser. Am on fast home wifi so not a network issue.

Am on Samsung S3, Android 4.3 OS, using default browser.

While I am here:

  • I really want 'show all posts' back. Not as default option in customisation but as a choice for an individual thread
  • posting box is too small with text too big, really hard to scroll up in it to check what you have written, it keeps scrolling me up to the top if the page.

Still can't get the 'threads started by' thingy back.

Still haven't got this back either. I spose MNHQ are busy with the mobile app shenanigans.

Just came on here to complain about this and found you'd all beaten me to it!

Not working for me either (Safari 7.0.6 / OS X 10.9.4).

Is Tech going to be working on this today? (Hangover permitting I guess.) It's been 4 or 5 days now.

Another one coming to complain about this only to find I've been beaten to it, many many times.

Oh come on MNHQ! This is driving me nuts. I keep clicking on thread titles thinking "surely [well liked and respected regular poster] would never have posted a thread called that!", and sure enough - they haven't, it's someone else altogether but the "started by"function is buggered. I may have to go and do some work if this carries on.
