How to you hide threads on this awful mobile layout?

I hate the new layout and one of the things I really dislike is that I can't seem to hide threads.

I replied to few on threads regarding this layout but now I want to hide them as they're taking up the limited viewing space I now have...

Anyone know how to hide them?

I've hidden a few threads on my desktop but they're not hidden on my mobile. Why???!!

Active Convos is a mess. All sorts if threads which I need to hide pronto and no way to do so.

When I bookmark it takes me back to the top of the page and can't find the bookmark. Very irritating!

It's there a guide somewhere? I can't find the "customise" section. I don't know if my previous setting to have all OP posts in a different color must be reset, or if it's no longer possible in the new layout.

Also in Threads I'm on etc, we used to see a short summary of who posted recently / since our own last post on the thread. That was useful as it was a quick way to decide whether to look at the thread again. Now the thread has a number beside it, but I don't know what the number is supposed to refer to. It's not the number of new posts since I last read it, which could be useful.

I went to the desktop site and my settings to customise the background colours of posts (by me or the OP) was unchanged. Back on the mobile site and I see my posts are highlighted as expected, but the OP's aren't. This is pretty fundamental.
