The ZOMBIE threads are coming to get us......

MNHQ. Please can the ZOMBIE Thread Warning stay on zombie threads permanently. I keep getting caught out by zombie threads that have been resurrected by other posters. There are loads of them at the moment. Sad

I put a lot of thought into some of my posts and it's frustrating when I realise that the OP has long gone. Confused

I understand that sometimes there is a good reason for zombie threads to be resurrected but having the warning permanently on the thread won't prevent this. Thank you Smile

Zombie would like to proclaim that she has no association with zombie threads.

She thanks you.

I have suggested in the past that the warning is at the top to prevent us reading the whole thread then realising it is a zombie thread.

Please please MNHQ can you consider this?

Zombie proposes as follows:

  1. Henceforth so called zombie threads shall be known as Dead Threads,

  1. The rather pathetic stick figure purporting to be a zombie is to be replaced with a coffin,

  1. MNHQ should bribe Tech the All Powerful to place the DeadThreadâ„¢ warning (i.e. the COFFIN) at both the beginning and the end of said DeadThreadâ„¢.

She thanks you.

Hi HaremScarem

Wait, come back, we're here! Grin

This seems like a pretty reasonable suggestion. We'll have a word with our lovely Tech folk to see how feasible it would be.

Yes, yes, yes to a warning at the top of ancient relics!

Yes it's disheartening to write a massive post and then realise the thread is a year old..

MNHQ Do you have these warnings on the bereavement threads? Confused You would have to call them something else if you did. Old Threads?

I have just checked on the bereavement boards on a post from 2003 and it doesn't say anything to alert it to being an old thread Smile

Oh, that's good. I was very a bit daft not thinking to check myself. Blush Blush

Are zombie threads/dead threads/old relics worth anything at auction? If they are we could sell them and buy gin?

And on abother note, surely they can't be dead threads because If they were dead then they couldn't be bought back? Maybe.
