Mumsnet Mates?

How do I make mumsnet mates? I can't seem to find a link anywhere. I've seen it before, so I know it HAS existed!!!

Searching finds old topics on it, and says the link is on the Profile page but I can't find it there.

I don't want meetups, sorry! I want to make some Mumsnetter 'Mumsnet Mates' which is supposed to be an option here somewhere.

Well I've been here for some time..about 5 years...and I've never seen that option.

What is it you want from the "mates"? I know some MNrs are friends on Facebook too...and I know that I have a few Mnrs who I have a laugh with occasionally on the boards...but other than that I don't see how you can have a mate...

I've just googled and see it's something on your settings...so what it's for I think is when you want only certain Mumsnetters to be able to see your photos. It should be in your profile I think

Its not in the profiles. I've looked and looked and looked! It used to be, but it isn't now.

I know at one point they disabled it because it wasn't working, but they reinstated it (wonderful what search can find!)

But I can't find it NOW!!!!
