I know it's poor form to pick up posters on grammar and spelling, but seriously MNHQ, wtf are you on about? Wink

Presumably it should be "you're" instead of "your", but either way it doesn't make a lot of sense. And what's with the "z"? Grin

You are CV-worthy -mum skills?

Confused that doesnt make sense.

Yup. I was thinking exactly the same.

"Your CV-Worthy Mum Skills" makes perfect sense.

Fair enough that the Z shouldn't be there. Maybe the dash between the clickable link section and the not clickable link section causes some grammatical confusion.

Oh, it's the dash that's put me off. I was reading it as two separate ideas. [condused]

It's to do with punctuation
You are cv worthy. Mum skills
Your CV worthy mum skills

Why doesn't it make sense? Your skills. Your cv-worthy mum skills. Makes perfect sense.

Whoops. Of course there is the inevitable typo in a pedanty thread.

What mum skills could you put on your CV? I think that's what it's trying to say. Not v. clear, though!

Ah yes! I see the confusion now OP. you're right, the hyphen means it doesnt make sense.

Actually looking at the other DotD, they seem to follow a similar format. For example: "Are you weathering - the storms?"

Personally I'm not weathering too well.

I'm guessing there's somebody new over the weekend.

It's the z that irrationally fucks me off.

FruVikingessOla · 19/07/2014 19:06

Me too, Skina.

Report
MardyBra · 19/07/2014 19:09

It's not irrational.

@Skina

It's the z that irrationally fucks me off.

Did we not quite pull off the down-with-the-kidz vibe, then?

We can't do anything about the dash, unfortunately, but we can get rid of the rogue z that has incensed so many of you.
