Search history

Even if I'm not logged in clicking on the search box brings up a dropdown box of all the searches I have ever made.
I want to delete this-is it possible.
I have deleted my overall search history on my laptop but can't find a way of getting rid of this.
Thanks

What browser are you using?
Does it happen when using a different browser?
Does it happen is using a mobile?

Usually it is the browser that is auto-filling search boxes, so getting the list from somewhere, perhaps online. Do you use Google in any form, such as Chrome browser, a google search toolbar?

Don't usually use a mobile.

Yes I have Google chrome browser - general search history on laptop has been cleared- but this is stubborn.
Thanks

I suspect it is AutoFill though not sure where it saves text of that type.

Google Support Chrome is not that helpful.
//chrome://settings/autofill gives access to things like Addresses it has saved, but I can't see where it says what bits of Form Text it has saved.

It's Stubborn Grin

Would a Clear Cookies command do the trick?

Nick what do you think?

Hi free2Bme,

We've just sent you an email. Do get back to us if you've still got a problem.

Clearing cookies clears things like rembering who you are, not clearing text.

Did shift/delete work?
