Its getting ridiculous. No other site causes me as much trouble as this one. Why is it so sloooooooooooooooww to load? Is it all the adverts?

I'm going to put an adblocker on soon if it doesn't pick up.

Are you sure its Mumsnet and not your PC,I havent had any trouble today although I do run adblock as standard. What browser are you using and do you delete cookies and clear cache?

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Are you on a Samsung device by any chance?

We should say - although we understand why people run adblocker - that if you do choose to run it, we can't guarantee that you won't be introducing new problems (ones that we won't be able to help you to deal with).

Are you getting a new phone Chao sweetie?

It seems to be better today, Rowan. But its still an intermittent chronic problem, sometimes better, sometimes worse. This is a laptop running Chrome. What happens is the page loads, then sticks while some ads load, then loads a bit more of the thread, then freezes again while some more commercial stuff turns up etc. Its just irritating and no other site does it to this extent.

OK. When a page is loading slowly, do you see the box in the bottom left corner that says 'Waiting for [...]'?

Could you tell us what it says it's waiting for?

Yes. I will list them next time it hangs.

Mumsnet keeps crashing my shockwave plug in. I don't even know what that means, but my laptop freezes and then I get a pop up telling me "your shockwave plug in has crashed". It doesn't happen on any other website :(

But on the plus side I'm not getting those annoying pop ups telling me I haven't left a message any more :)
