just noticed today and I don't like it.

some words highlighted in red and double underlined and when you hover over them it brings up a box with an ad relating to the word. different ad with each word but all have the word 'easyinline' at the top of the box.

i'm thinking it's something I've done without realising but thought i'd check just incase it was a new (horrible) MN feature.

Pretty sure it's not a virus. What browser are you using?

If you're using Chrome, go to extensions (wrench > tools > extensions), there will probably be an extension there that relates to easyonline, but they have lots - yontoo, fast save, lucky leap etc etc. Let me know what you have if you're stuck Smile

Ah ok, I know very little about IE Confused is there some sort of extension/add on page?

Found it - tools > manage add ons

Try these instructions to find Browser Helper Objects and remove them.

If that does not resolve things, then download free version of Malwarebytes and run that, it will hunt out things on your computer which should not be there.

There's probably one there called Yontoo or Lucky Leap, possibly Web Cake, disable/delete of there is.

Very hard to tell you as we don't know what it is specifically that is causing the issue.

Do you want to list what is in that section?

thanks- nannynick I followed instructions on your link and disabled the ones I think were unwanted. I will download the malwarebytes now. thank you both.

Hope you get things fixed. AdWare is a bit of a pain, though usually it can be removed.
