Site stuff

Why? It was the most insightful thread in property for a long time

Why did you delete Janethewitch's thread? Apparently you said that we were badmouthing the HPC website. So?? This is the internet. The HPCers are big enough and man enough (even although Jane doesn't think so) to stand up for themselves.

It was the most interesting discussion we've had for ages on "property" the link that the House Price Crashers had to it was insightful too.

I'm so flipping disappointed in this; it's like you are censoring stuff for us. We don't need it.

cumfy - that's an OLD thread you've linked to. These days we could all be on the HPC website - I think we are all "bears".

Hi everyone,

Sorry if you feel we've made the wrong call on this. We deleted the thread as we didn't feel it was in the spirit of Mumsnet to slag off other forums.

www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=186683 Here's the crashers' link to it. Such a shame as it was very interesting trying to educate Jane the witch who had a huge entitlement issue.

Yes exactly. I meant there is a long history/site feud, not a one-off.

Still curious what the thread deletion reason is (via threads I'm On).

Kate - come on now..that's a bit of a cop out. It was only Jane the sillyb--witch who was miscalling the HPC website. I really can't believe you'd delete a whole discussion because of that??

Come on, spill the beans.

OK so the thread deletion message is the generic:

This thread has been deleted by MNHQ for breaking our Talk Guidelines.

But how come previous MN v HPC slanging matches remain extant after 2-3 years ?

I think Helen is talking with the boss to see what can be done.

Really? We were all broadly in agreement with HPC, I thought, and their views on the thread were that Jane was getting off lightly here in terms of PARD.
