Updated MN App for iPhone

What the FRIFF happened to my MN App? I finally gave in and updated it yesterday, and a) It's gone funny colours, b) The smilies are evil-looking, and c) I can't use the damn thing because it will let me read threads but not post on there because I'm 'not connecting', despite being able to use all my other Apps and now use the mobile site.

I want my App to work!!

Hello. And yes, we have some ongoing 'issues' with the app, we're afraid.

We know about the smilies but it's strange that it's not letting you post, MerryCouthyMows.

Sorting out app problems does take us longer than sorting out other Tech problems because there are lots of extra stages involving outside parties.

But we are on the case. And we are sorry it's less than ideal at the mo.

Might be an idea to keep on using the mobile site, if that's working well for you, until we can release the app fixes though...

We've posted on your other thread, spudmurphy, but we didn't "approve" them, honest. There was some almighty glitch - we're on the case.

The new app doesn't seem to be able to cope with putting in the pound sign- it goes all funny

I like it better despite the iced gem and the dead body. The evil smileys do take on different meanings i think.

You don't have to go through pages and pages of thread to get to where you were as it's all one page now. And it's landscape, that's better.

When I type in a pound sign, it posts something like "&pound" rather than a pound sign?!

It is annoying that you can't copy text on the app.

No, the £ thing s annoying, but most frustrating is the loop of active convos, scroll down and the same few keep re-appearing.
