What is The Friendship Bench?

Skang · 27/12/2012 12:21

An I missing something or do I need to be on something other than a phone to see/use it?

I can't see any explanation of what it is, just the title then a load of local adverts.

TIA

The Friendship Bench is a thread in your Local Talk that can be started by anyone, to reach out to anyone, to form friendships. All welcome.
Just go to your Local Site and click on 'Meet Ups' and you'll see it. Good luck!

Yes I've gone into meet ups and I click on the friendship bench, but there's no way of starting a thread..

It just says 'the friendship bench in blah blah blah' then directly under it it says 'local advertising' and lists things like 'promote your business here' etc.

Hi Skang

Right - are you clicking on the tab that says 'meet-ups', and then the block that says 'Friendship Bench'? Once you're in there you should be able to start a thread. Let us know if that doesn't work.

Yes I click on the block, there's definitely nothing in there to start a thread.

Incidentally when I clicked 'desktop site' at the bottom to see if that made a difference (then selected yes-this time) it just takes me back to the mobile site.

Huh. Right, thanks for checking and sorry about this. Can you tell us which local site you're on? (You're welcome to send us a mail at [email protected] if you'd rather not say on here.)

Our Local Supremo is off this week I think, but if we can't work it out between us this week we should definitely be able to get you an answer next week.
