Can we please have a KATE topic?

That way those of who have very little interest in the Royal Pregnancy (beyond the initial "Congrats") can hide the topic, rather than see 5-7 simultaneous threads in Active convos?

Tech should just set up a script to automatically move any topic with Kate + Pregnancy into the Royal Family topic so I can hid the buggering thing

I don't give a monkeys about her pregnancy and certainly can't be arsed trawling through loads of threads about it

There's a Royal Family topic already, and the ability to hide it was part of the rationale.

OK, it has been roundly ignored, but do we need to set up yet another marginal topic that will probably be equally ignored?

Though MNHQ might consider nudging people towards exercising a bit more thought/consideration when starting threads by moving most of them into the existing Royal forum.

I did not realize there was a royal family topic already!

Clearly, nobody else realize it is there, so active convos is pretty swamped.

I agree. I am beyond bored of it all already.

Oh thank god someone else has already requested this.

A Royal Baby topic would be great as I really and truly don't give a monkey's bottom about the whole thing.

threesocksfullofchocs there's already a Christmas topic. Just some folk have a few probs in finding it I think.

Please, please, please.

I know it is marvellous news for them but those people who have recently had miscarriages (like me) or who are struggling with ttc don't want every second thread to be about babies.

Please, please please make the threads go away-or at least tidy them into the understairs cupboard so I don't keep tripping over them.
If it continues I'll be sticking pins in my eyes.

Hello

Thanks for this.

We do think that one or two threads out-of-topic about this (which is a big story by any measure) are fair enough - but we completely understand that it's not ideal to swamp the boards, and that some people will want to hide the threads.

There are some circumstances in which threads might be appropriate in other topics (eg 'Where's Kate going to buy her maternity wear?' would probably be best in S&B), but if you would like to report any clear 'OMG Kate is pg' threads, we will move them to the Royal Family topic of which I became aware five minutes ago

Thanks

Thanks.

It is reassuring to see that not even MNHQ can keep up with their vast topic list.

They wouldn't move the one I reported as it was in 'news'

This is why I was dreading the poor woman getting pregnant..... it'll be all we hear about for the next decade!
