Where IS it?! I have lost it off my Active, search isn't working very well on the App, keeps coming up with that daft as a brush message "service temporaly down, please try again later", and I just want to see if anyone else in Colchester has any donations as the drop offs to Colchester refuge are starting this week.

AAARRRGGHHH!

Cheers, Norman.

I just wanted to let people know that drop offs start Thursday this week, and will be weekly/ fortnightly till Christmas.

Also, I need to let people know to donate wrapping paper and Sellotape too in Colchester if possible. (Refuge's request.)

Haven't seen the original thread but I'm in Colchester and will try and donate something.
What are they looking for?

Start a new thread, with Colchester in the title?

Will do when I get a spare few minutes. Colchester are looking for new and 'secondhand but still with all the bits' toys for all age groups, and things like make up etc for the Ladies - not practical stuff, but stuff they might not have picked up IYSWIM.

I am the 'drop off' point, as my friend has arranged drop offs, as she is an ex-resident and now she volunteers there. If you have anything to drop off, PM me for an address.

I'll start a proper thread after the school run.

Norma, it's not you that's failed me, it's MN's 'service temporaly unavailable' bloody search facility! Grin

I'll go through all the kids stuff and see what I can get together, we have far too much stuff, I think that I can donate a couple of new things that I've bought my children for Christmas too.

I'll have a look at make up, I get lots of samples (got bought a glossy box subscription) and I'm sure some of them can go, I have a lot of nail polish too, any idea if they're looking for that?

Can I have some more info please, I saw the refuge John Lewis thread but didn't realise there was a donation campaign closer to me. Let me know what needed and I will see what I can do

Our local one is also accepting donations that aren't from the John Lewis list, for those who aren't yet in the refuge thus aren't able to ask for anything specific. First drop off went this morning, will do one next week then two weeks later.

They are particularly after things that children age 7+ would like, as often donations are made for younger children but there's not so much for older children.

And again, wrapping paper and Sellotape is appreciated!

Thank you to all, and if anyone needs the drop off address, PM me.

They would love samples and nail polishes - they aren't just good for the ladies in there, but also teenage girls too, who may not have been able to pick their own stuff up when they went to the refuge.

I will start a 'proper' thread, just RL keeps getting in the way for me the last couple of days. I'm having MN withdrawal symptoms!! Grin
