Hi Flying,

If you remove them from Mumsnet on your PC/laptop etc and then log into the app they should be gorn from their too.

At the moment it is not possible to do it from the app, you could visit Mumsnet mobile from your iPhone and do it from there.

If you have any issues then please do come back to us.

Sorry Rebecca I can't even see how to do this on the website.

I tried excluding topics, but that didn't work Sad

Could I have an idiots guide please? Pretty please... I'd send Wine but I've drunk it all (which may be why I need the idiots guide Grin )

Go to Customise and scroll right down to the bottom.

You will see a section header called Ignore topics in Active Conversations Click on the go 'here' link underneath and it will take you to a page where you can exclude or add topics.

hth but do come back to us if you still get stuck.

Best wishes

Done that and the topic I'm trying to move still shows up in the "My Topics" screen.

I've also tried deleting the app and reinstalling which didn't work either.

T'is not a major issue and I'll live, but thought you'd like to know.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that Flying. Anyone else having trouble removing topics from the main site (as opposed to removing them via the app)?

I'm having trouble with this too. I've tried doing as you said on the main site but the topic still comes up in my topics. I don't really want to hide it completely anyway it's just no longer completely relevant to me. Thanks.

Was there a resolution to this? I don't seem to be able to remove topics either.

We're not sure, PastaDee. We'll check with the Tech team.

Hi, sorry for the confusion here - the my topics list on the app is separate from any lists on the website. At the moment you can only add topics to it - you can't take them away. I think the original idea was that you'd add stuff there to avoid wading through the full topic list. Putting a topic there (or not) doesn't affect what shows up in active convos or anywhere else, it's just a convenient way to have a shorter list of topics to deal with. We'll look at adding the ability to remove them in a later version. Sorry, we should have thought about this at the time. Not much cop being able to add stuff but never change your mind. But the legacy lives on Pasta! And by legacy I mean, "perving over Bradley Wiggins"

The Olympic legacy will always live on through Bradley's sideburns and in my MN topics
